"PSG has scored 10 goals in 2 matches in the absence of Kylian Mbappé"

PSG Dominates Montpellier, Scoring 10 Goals in Two Matches Without Mbappé

PARIS -- Paris Saint-Germain continues to thrive in the absence of Kylian Mbappé, showcasing their strength with a commanding 6-0 victory over Montpellier on Friday. This win marks PSG's second consecutive triumph in the French league following Mbappé's transfer to Real Madrid this offseason.

Despite concerns that the departure of their star player would weaken their title defense, PSG has proven otherwise, netting a remarkable 10 goals in their first two matches.

PSG coach Luis Enrique expressed his satisfaction with the team's performance, stating, "Although it's early in the season, I'm very pleased with what I've witnessed." He emphasized the importance of the home crowd, saying, "We aimed to bring joy to our fans, and tonight was a perfect occasion."

The match saw Bradley Barcola score twice, with the first goal coming just three minutes in, followed by Marco Asensio's strike that doubled the lead. João Neves, a recent addition from Benfica, provided his third assist in two games, showcasing his impact on the squad.

Ousmane Dembélé's assist set up Barcola for a simple tap-in, further solidifying PSG's dominance. Barcola reflected on the match, saying, "I had a lot of fun and felt free on the pitch. The coach emphasized collective pressing, and while it requires effort, it becomes second nature."
